Ne-Yo to Work with these East African Artists



Shaffer Chimere Smith, better known by his stage name Ne-Yo, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor. Ne-Yo has been reported to visit Kenya and he is expected to be working with artists who are doing well in East Africa.

The news of Ne-Yo’s coming to Kenya was kept a secret for some time now, but its not a secret any more as the Music and Entertainment Publicist for Coke Studio Africa, Anyiko Owokohave already confirmed the news via Instagram 

Neyo will be making & performing original music, together with African stars picked from Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Nigeria and Uganda!

Probably Tanzania will be presented by eitherDiamond PlatnumzAli Kiba or Vannesa Mdee

Ne-Yo gained fame for his songwriting abilities when he penned the 2004 hit “Let Me Love You" for singer Mario. Since then he got signed to Def Jam and went ahead to make major hits like ‘Miss Independent’.
During its two year ru, the project will award approximately 100 major reporting grants and provide mentoring to support the best ideas for stories on development issues. Journalists who produce the best stories published or broadcasted in media that reach African audiences, will win a major international reporting trip.
